Meet the Band
Karen Morgan
Lead Vocals
Music has always been a part of Karen's life, and she has been performing since she was around 9 years old. Aside from a few years of keyboard lessons as a child, she grew up hanging out in recording studios and traveling with a few well known bands as they toured the US and intercontinentally. She is inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, The Eagles, Carol King, Sheryl Crow, Linda Ronstadt, Black Moods, George Michael, Patti Smith, The Smiths, and many more.
In her personal life as well as in her performances, Karen never holds back. She aims to live a happy life, and loves running, horses, Disney, and outdoor adventures. She is also among the lucky few who can call Honolulu, Hawaii home.
Blair Westfall
Vocals, Guitar, booking
A Gainesville, FL native, carpenter/handyman Blair Westfall has been playing the guitar since the tender age of 9. Inspired by his older siblings' band, he and his best friend started a band of their own and never looked back. While the original band is still going strong, he has been enjoying playing music in a professional capacity since 2018.
Although he's a Florida boy through and through, Blair's musical influences reach across the globe, including the likes of composers Ryuichi Sakamoto and Stravinsky. When he's not too busy wrangling his three children or his band members, this family man enjoys studying Austrian Economics and Russian literature.
Nate Brown
Lead Guitar
Nate's not the kind to toot his own horn, so we'll do it for him! Nate is an accomplished musician and a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music. He has worked as a Music Director for Carnival Cruise Line, and opened for touring acts such as Styx, Peter Frampton, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, Plain White T’s, Drowning Pool, and The Human Abstract.
He currently resides in Ocala, FL and teaches music lessons by day. His musical influences include Umphrey’s McGee, Allman Brothers Band, Brian Setzer, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Jimmy Herring.
Anthony Perrella
Bass
Ever since his days in the school choir as a boy, bassist Anthony has continued to develop his musical ear. Being a self-taught musician, he has perfected his craft though over 45 years of experience and has played all the marquis venues in Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore, and Palm Beach. Since he was 12 years old, he has graced the line-up of dozens of bands, including Westfall and his own Villages-based band, The Ampli-FIRES.
Anthony traded his roots in Gloversville, NY for some Florida sunshine and a Villages lifestyle. He balances out his profession in medical device sales with the occasional 18 holes of golf. His musical influences include The Beatles and Yes.
Kendall Pollard
Drums
“I've been playing drums for over 30 years now. It all started when my parents couldn't decide on how to even out the amount of Christmas presents between my siblings and I. They slid a snare drum from my brother's pile over to mine and called it good. That was the beginning and the end for me. I was hooked!
I started out self taught, playing along to my favorite bands on CD. That progressed to performing in various heavy metal type groups. At some point my musical tastes started to broaden, and I realized I would likely need a little assistance if I was ever going to advance my playing, so I started taking lessons. I've studied with numerous teachers throughout the years. However, the most effective education I feel I've received has come from performing live. I have been very fortunate to play on a variety of noteworthy stages throughout California, Colorado and Texas. Now landing in Florida where I've happily resided for 12 years.
Music has been a major part of my life and is my therapy. The majority of my friends are musicians, and I shudder to think of what my life would be without it. Amen to that uneven Christmas pile!”
